Sales Manager – Dance One This position is REMOTE but 75% travelling Dance One is dedicated to celebrating and supporting the dance community through education, artistry, and connection. Our mission is to inspire dancers, educators, and studios nationwide by creating opportunities for growth — both on and beyond the stage. Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is a key member of the Dance One team, responsible for building meaningful relationships, driving growth, and expanding participation across all Dance One programs and events. This role blends strategic sales expertise with a genuine passion for dance and community engagement. The ideal candidate thrives on connection, creativity, and purpose — turning opportunities into lasting partnerships that uplift and inspire.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies that align with Dance One's goals for growth and brand impact. Build, manage, and nurture relationships with studio owners, educators, and partners to expand participation. Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets within the dance and performing arts industries. Represent Dance One at conventions, events, and trade shows — promoting programs and engaging directly with the community. Collaborate with marketing, operations, and events teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for clients and participants. Maintain and track a healthy sales pipeline, report on performance metrics, and forecast future growth opportunities. Provide valuable field insights to inform programming, messaging, and partnership initiatives. Support client retention and loyalty through personalized communication and follow-up. Competencies:
Proven success in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the performing arts, events, education industries or medical sales. Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills. Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and analytical abilities. Confident and engaging public speaker, comfortable representing the brand at live events. Team player with a collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment. Proficiency with CRM systems, sales tracking, and Google or Microsoft Office Suite tools. Deep appreciation for dance, the arts, and community development.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3–5 years of experience in sales, partnership development, or account management. Experience in the dance, performing arts, or event industry strongly preferred. Travel required to conventions, events, and studio visits. (Up to 75% travel)Ability to work occasional weekends and flexible hours during event seasons.
