About the role

Project ManagerSherpa 6 is seeking a Project Manager to support the US Army's CPE (Capability Program Executive) Mission Autonomy efforts. This is a hands-on ownership role: you'll manage a multi-million dollar prime contract with subcontractors, serving as the single point of contact who keeps budget, scope, schedule, and customer satisfaction on track. We're looking for someone who demonstrates strong leadership and project execution skills, communicates effectively across a wide range of stakeholders, and operates with a clear commitment to ethics and integrity.You'll work in a team environment that is diverse and possibly remote, collaborating across multiple business areas to accomplish Sherpa 6's goals.Primary Responsibilities:Manage full life cycle of assigned projectsProvide a single point of contact for assigned projectsInterface with all stakeholders including Contracting, Financial, Legal, Security, Senior Staff, Executive Staff, Customers, End Users, Engineering, IT and Team MembersParticipate in Business Development activities including networking, program capture and proposal developmentDevelop project artifacts including detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates (Estimates at Completion, or EACs), resource plans, and status reports based on contractual requirementsConduct project meetings virtually and/or in-personPerform project tracking and analysisEnsure adherence to quality standardsManage and review project deliverablesEnsure all project contractual obligations are being satisfiedProvides analytical guidance to project teamRecommend and/or direct the analysis and solutions of problemsPerform staffing and workload forecastingWork with Project Controllers to satisfy project financial requirementsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management or other related field.Five (5) years of experience managing/supervising technical teams/projects related to the roleAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Ability to build trust and confidence with customers, engineers, technicians, program management, and product line management to achieve program and business objectivesDemonstrate leadership by example, building trust and inspiring people through a shared vision where people feel valued, empowered, and fulfilledAbility to independently lead and support technical meetings with customers, teammates, program management and leadershipExperience executing projects with Agile methodologyExperience with DoW related contractsExperience with proposal effort coordination, including estimating, bidding, narrative writing, risk identification, and technical leadershipAbility to grasp complex issues, independently formulate analysis and proposed solutions, lead people, manage complex activities, manage risks and opportunities, brief issues and represent the company well to the customerBackground Screening/Check/Investigation:Successful completion of a background screening/check/investigation will/may be required as a condition of hire.About Sherpa 6:At Sherpa 6 we love to solve problems and provide the best solutions for our customers.
