About the role

Responsibilities: Develop new customers and maintain long-term relationships with universities, research institutes, biotech companies, and R&D-driven clients. Promote Sailgene’s products and services through academic conferences, scientific meetings, online outreach, client visits, and other business development activities. Understand customer research needs and provide appropriate sequencing service solutions in collaboration with internal technical and project teams. Manage the full sales process, including lead generation, customer communication, solution recommendation, quotation follow-up, contract negotiation, deal closure, and payment follow-up. Maintain customer satisfaction by responding to client inquiries, coordinating internal resources, and supporting pre-sales and after-sales communication. Collect market information, identify regional opportunities, and support the company’s business expansion in the U.S. market.
Qualifications: Master’s degree or above in Biology, Genetics, Animal Science, Plant Genomics, Microbiology, or other related life science fields. Candidates with research backgrounds in plant science, agriculture, animal science, aquaculture, or related species-focused research areas are preferred.
Required Skills:
  • Familiarity with NGS and third-generation sequencing principles and applications is required; candidates whose research projects involved sequencing are preferred.
  • Prior sales experience in sequencing-related scientific research services is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, customer development ability, and market expansion awareness.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage regional customer resources effectively.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
