About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead daily production operations and develop a high-performing team.This role is accountable for safety, quality, schedule attainment, productivity, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who develops people, solves problems quickly, and uses Lean principles to continuously improve performance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily production activities to achieve production schedules and schedule attainment targets.Ensure appropriate labour and resources are aligned with production requirements and priorities.Monitor key production KPIs, identify performance gaps, and take corrective action.Coach, develop, and hold employees accountable for performance, quality, and safety.Lead daily production meetings and clearly communicate schedules, priorities, and performance expectations.Drive Lean Manufacturing practices including 5S, Kaizen, standard work, visual management, and waste reduction.Improve productivity, workflow, labour utilization, and overall production efficiency.Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Materials, Shipping, and other departments to remove production bottlenecks.Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues, downtime, missed schedules, and process inefficiencies.Support employee training, cross-training, and development.Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and high-performing production environment.Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Qualifications3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong track record of managing production schedules and driving operational performance.Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, including 5S, Kaizen, standard work, and continuous improvement.Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-development skills.Experience using production KPIs to identify issues and drive improvement.Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.Ability to read and interpret work orders, production documentation, and safety procedures.High school diploma or GED required; technical or post-secondary education is an asset.English required; Spanish preferred.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experiencePaid time offRelocation assistance where applicableStable, team-oriented manufacturing environmentOpportunities for professional growth and involvement in Lean and continuous improvement initiativesExperience:Lean manufacturing: 3 years (Required)ERP systems: 2 years (Required)Leadership: 3 years (Required)Schedule management: 1 year (Required)Quality control: 1 year (Preferred)Continuous improvement: 2 years (Preferred)Language:English (Required)Spanish (Preferred)Work Location: In person
