About the role
Providing or preparing a home-cooked meal for Hope's Harbor guests can be a rewarding way to support our families. Gather your family and friends, co-workers and committee members, team and troop, club and church group to come to Hope's Harbor to share in our mission. Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back to your community and have fun! Meals can be prepared in our beautiful gourmet kitchen, provided by a catered restaurant or prepackaged from a grocery store. It is required that all food be prepared in a commercial kitchen. Meals at our Lutheran Campus House should be for 12-15 people. Meals at our Dupont Campus House should be for 8-10 people.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
