About the role
As a Mid-Level Procurement Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's supply chain management. You will be responsible for procuring goods and services essential for our operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. Your expertise in negotiation, vendor management, and market analysis will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning: Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to understand procurement needs. Develop procurement plans and strategies aligned with organizational goals and budgetary constraints. Identify potential suppliers and vendors, evaluating their capabilities, reliability, and cost competitiveness. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing agreements. Monitor vendor performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing discrepancies. Conduct regular supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards. Sourcing and Purchasing: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, pricing fluctuations, and new sourcing opportunities. Source and purchase goods and services according to established procurement procedures and guidelines. Evaluate bids and proposals, selecting suppliers based on factors such as quality, cost, and delivery timelines. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable to the organization. Monitor contract performance, tracking key milestones, deliverables, and obligations. Identify opportunities for contract optimization, renegotiation, or consolidation to drive cost savings and operational efficiency. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate procurement risks related to supply chain disruptions, price volatility, or geopolitical factors. Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize potential disruptions to operations. Stay informed about regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
