We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Perrysburg, OH. This position is responsible for cutting, shaping, fabricating, and assembling metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, extensive welding experience, and the ability to safely operate a variety of fabrication tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fabricate metal parts according to blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
- Work with carbon steel and stainless steel
- Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, pipe threading machines, metal shears, and ironworkers
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Rig and move heavy materials and equipment as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and specifications
- Follow all required safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of metal fabrication and welding experience required
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
- Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel
- Familiarity with forklifts, overhead cranes, metal shears, ironworkers, and other fabrication equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Must be able to pass a welding test and OSHA Safety Training testAWS Welder Certification preferred
