- Education4-yr degree in Environmental Sciences, Health and Safety, or Engineering (or equivalent experience) required.
- Safety Professional Certification (CHMM, ASP, or CSP)
- Experience and Preferred Knowledge
- Two (2) - Four (4) years of related work experience in Environmental Health and Safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Hazardous Waste (Manifests, Requirements, Safe Handling)
- Preference given if work experience includes Quality or Facilities Engineering (4 plus years) in a manufacturing facility
- Chemical Safety, including Laboratory Safety, Process Safety (Hazard Assessment and Control)
- Experience working with Regulatory Agencies (OSHA, Fire Safety, Air Resources Board, etc.), including permitting and compliance inspections
- Chemical Hygiene, including PPE Assessment, Exposure Control, and Industrial Hygiene Monitoring, Customer Site Audits, or Safety Evaluations
- Emergency Response and Business Continuity Planning or Experience with SDS (Safety Data Sheet) management
- Working knowledge of general policies and procedures.
- Strong Customer Relations skills.
