Loreto in Frogtown/Elysian Valley is looking for a Line Cook to join our team!  We’re an upscale-casual Mexican seafood restaurant that specializes in seafood dishes inspired by the fresh ingredients from the Baja coast.  We are a full bar restaurant with specialty cocktails and a curated wine selection.  Mariscos Za Za Zá is our counter-service lunch concept at the same location.We’re looking for Part-Time Line Cooks with dinner availability.  Full-time opportunity based on performance and availability.Responsibilities:Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to standardsUnderstand and apply the correct use of kitchen equipment with respect to safety and maintenanceComply with all culinary and mandatory staff trainingCold and hot line for dinner and lunch serviceDemonstrate efficiency when applying company standards and rulesMaintain and strictly abide by state and city health code regulationsEnsure that food leaving the kitchen is checked for quality, quantity, presentation and correct temperature according to established standardsReport any maintenance deficiencies in a quick and timely wayMaintain a professional relationship with all restaurant personnelActively involved in maintaining and restocking of necessary ingredients/itemsAdhere to dress code policy in addition to following good personal hygiene habitsPositive attitude, sense of responsibility and ownership of the positionPossess attention to detailWork with a sense of urgencyFollow all guidelines in our Kitchen ManualRequirements:Valid Food Handler’s certificate preferred2+ years work experience in fine dining and/or high-volume establishment preferred.Be comfortable with repetitive motions such as walking, bending and standing during your scheduled shift.Be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.Compensation:$19.00TipsThis job description is not an exclusive list of all functions of the role.
