US Highway 85, Commerce City, CO Full-time | On-site with remote flexibility Compensation: $75,000-$300,000+ annually This Is Not an Entry-Level Position American Truck Centers is hiring three experienced commercial truck wholesale buyer/sellers to join our growing wholesale department. Candidates must have proven experience buying or selling used commercial trucks. We need professionals who understand truck specifications, wholesale values, market demand, negotiations, and relationship-based selling. If you already have relationships with commercial truck dealers, fleets, leasing companies, auctions, and other industry sources, we provide the inventory, resources, and uncapped earning potential to help you grow. About American Truck Centers American Truck Centers is a nationwide buyer and seller of used commercial trucks. Our wholesale team buys and sells trucks across the country, working with dealerships, fleets, auctions, leasing companies, and end users. We handle Class 4 through Class 8 commercial trucks, including: Day cabs and sleepers Box trucks Dump trucks Flatbeds Cab and chassis trucks Service and utility trucks Vacuum, sewer, and other vocational trucks What You’ll Do Buy Trucks Source used commercial trucks from fleets, dealerships, leasing companies, auctions, and end users. Develop new acquisition sources through consistent outbound prospecting. Appraise trucks using specifications, mileage, condition, market demand, and comparable sales. Negotiate purchases that meet the company’s inventory and profit requirements. Inspect trucks personally or coordinate third-party inspections. Identify fleet packages and other high-volume buying opportunities. Sell Trucks Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale dealers and commercial truck buyers nationwide. Match available inventory with each buyer’s purchasing profile. Market trucks through phone calls, email, text, and industry relationships. Negotiate profitable wholesale transactions. Follow up consistently and turn one-time buyers into repeat customers. Maintain an active pipeline of buyers, sellers, and pending opportunities. Manage Your Business Track calls, contacts, appraisals, offers, purchases, and sales in the company CRM. Stay current on wholesale values, auction results, freight conditions, and market trends. Work closely with the wholesale manager, cold-calling team, service department, and transportation partners. Travel when necessary to inspect trucks, attend auctions, and meet customers. Required Experience Minimum of two years of direct commercial truck wholesale buying or selling experience. Demonstrated ability to accurately appraise used commercial trucks. Working knowledge of Class 4-8 trucks, specifications, applications, and market values. Established relationships with truck dealers, fleet operators, auctions, leasing companies, or other industry sources. Proven record of sourcing inventory, closing deals, and generating gross profit. Strong negotiation, prospecting, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to performance goals. Willingness to make outbound calls and consistently develop new business. Ability to travel as needed. Valid driver’s license. Automotive-only experience does not automatically qualify. Commercial truck wholesale experience is strongly preferred. What We’re Looking For A producer—not an order taker. Comfortable buying and selling trucks over the phone.
