Medical Assistant / X-Ray Technician (Full-Time) David M. Kupfer, MD., APC/ Select Medical Specialist| San Diego, CA | In PersonAbout Us We are a busy, multi-specialty medical group focused on Orthopedics, Hand & Upper Extremity, Pain Management, and Plastic Surgery. We're a close-knit team that takes pride in excellent patient care and a supportive, positive workplace. We're looking for an experienced MA/X-Ray Tech who can start right away.
What You'll Do:
  • Room patients, take vitals, and document histories in the EHRPerform spine and upper- and lower-extremity X-rays as ordered, ensuring accurate positioning, image quality, and compliance with radiation safety protocols
  • Assist providers with exams, injections, minor procedures, and wound care
  • Prepare and maintain exam and procedure rooms, including sterilizing instruments
  • Manage clinical supply inventory: track stock, place orders, and control costs
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, prior authorizations, and patient calls
  • Travel locally between office locations as needed
  • Support the team with other duties as assigned
  • What You Bring
  • Current California CRT certification or Limited X-Ray Permit covering Extremities and Torso-Skeletal required
Experience performing spine and upper-and lower-extremity X-rays as ordered, ensuring accurate positioning, image quality, and compliance with radiation safety protocols. Medical Assistant certificate or diploma. Strong clinical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a genuine team-player attitude Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small-team environment Reliable transportation for local travel Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus Orthopedic or pain management experience preferred Current BLS certification preferred
Compensation & Benefits: $32-$35 per hour, depending on experience and permit categories

Schedule: Full time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. No weekends.
Requirements: Current California limited permit (X-ray Technician) in the Extremities category, or a California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certificate. Medical assistant experience required; orthopedic or hand clinic experience and Spanish a plus. To apply: Submit your résumé with a copy of your California X-ray permit or CRT certificate.
