Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Medical Assistant to support our surgeon and clinical team. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on surgical assisting, patient care, and maintaining a smooth workflow in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the surgeon during in-office procedures and minor surgeries Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and treatment rooms Room patients, take vital signs, and document medical histories Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education and care instructions Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper stock levels Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols Assist with scheduling, charting, and general office support as needed
Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent experience preferred Prior experience in a surgical or plastic surgery setting strongly preferred Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Professional demeanor and commitment to patient confidentiality
