About the role

About Thursday Thursday is the IRL dating app and the biggest in-person dating company in the world. We build technology with one job: getting singles off their phones and face to face as quickly as possible. Match, chat, make a plan and meet that day. We are live in more than 200 cities, bring tens of thousands of people together at our events every month and reach millions more online. Nobody does real-life dating at our scale. Now we are building the next chapter, and we need exceptional people to help us lead it.
The role: We are looking for a Regional Events Manager to run our events across the Central and Western United States. You will own a group of cities, from booking venues and leading local event teams to making sure every event is listed on time and sells out. This is an operations role first. You will also create content for our social channels, but your main job is running great events, consistently.

What you will do: Run your cities:- Plan and book a regular calendar of events in each city: venue, date and format.- Recruit, train and manage local teams who run events on the night.- List every event on time with the right details and pricing.- Track ticket sales and act early on any event that is under-selling.- Launch new cities across the region using our launch playbook. Create content:- Run social accounts for your cities and create short-form video such as reels.- Capture content at events for use in our marketing. Report:- Keep our events planning accurate and up to date.- Report weekly to the Events Operations Manager on events, sales and profitability.
What we are looking for: Essential:- Experience in events, hospitality, nightlife or venue operations.- Experience managing people, including remote or freelance teams.- Highly organised, able to run several cities at once.- Confident negotiating with venues.- Comfortable creating short-form social content.- Authorized to work in the US.- Willing to work evenings and some weekends when events are running. Desirable:- An existing venue network in major cities across the Central or Western US.- Experience launching in new cities or markets.- Experience running brand social accounts.
What we offer: Base salary of $50,000 to $60,000, depending on experience.- Quarterly profit bonus on top, paid on the profit of the events in your region, so your earnings grow as your cities grow.- The chance to build Thursday's events business across the US.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
