About the role
The Budget Specialist works in the Budget Office of the Florida Department of Health in Broward County, reporting directly to the Budget Director. The role involves budget development, reconciliation, and monitoring of programs including HIV/AIDS funding, Ryan White grants, and other revenue sources. The incumbent conducts financial audits, reconciles funding categories, ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and prepares financial statements and reports for senior leadership.
Key qualifications:
Experience in directly managing multiple grants with multi-million dollar government budgets Experience working with FLAIR, FIRS, FIS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook Experience with the State of Florida's OCA Cash Balance Report Valid driver license free of major infractions Ability to work independently and solve problems Knowledge of Word, Power Point, and Excel including Pivot Tables
