About the role
Home Financing Center is a family-owned business that has been serving South Florida since 1984 and is the largest independently owned mortgage lender in the region. The Mortgage Loan Officer/Banker will manage the end-to-end loan origination process, including prospecting and qualifying borrowers, gathering financial documentation, and recommending appropriate mortgage products. This role will guide customers through application, pre-qualification, and approval, clearly explaining loan terms, rates, and conditions while ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The Mortgage Banker will collaborate closely with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to move files efficiently from application to funding and resolve documentation or credit issues. Daily activities also include building and maintaining relationships with real estate professionals, community partners, and referral sources, and using CRM and loan origination systems to track pipeline activity and meet production goals. This role will require in-office or remote attendance for the first two weeks of employment for training purposes (2 hours a day). After this period, employees are allowed to choose between working in a hybrid, remote, or in-person capacity. Active state mortgage loan originator (MLO) license and NMLS registration. First year mortgage bankers typically earn between $100,000-$120,000 a year.
