About the role
Job TitleThe purpose of this position within the organization is to receive payments and give receipts for payment of bills and fees in the Department.
Essential Functions: The following are key responsibilities of this role:
- Must be able to communicate with others in spoken and written English to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the business.
- Receives and applies payments to customer accounts.
- Balances cash drawer and generates cash and deposit report.
- Processes payments for special accounts and business accounts.
- Generates payment extensions upon customer request.
- Answers general questions about customer accounts and/or billing.
- Performs other work as assigned.
- The physical demands of this role include:
- Performs work that involves sitting most of the time.
- May involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
- Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- The following qualifications are required:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Requires some experience as a cashier, customer service representative, or closely related.
