About the role
Do you enjoy driving and having good conversations? If so, this may be the perfect opportunity for you! Become a volunteer driver through ElderHelp's Seniors A Go Go program. Many seniors are no longer able to drive, but they still need to get out and about. We are looking for volunteers who would like to help with rides to medical appointments, and other destinations, all while enjoying a friendly conversation on the way! No minimum time commitment Mileage reimbursement available Flexible schedule-you can select rides based on your availability and preferred geographic area Seniors may use a cane or walker, but are able to get in and out of a car on their own To learn more and get started with the process, please email Carrie McClellan at volunteers@elderhelpofsandiego.org or register for an upcoming online volunteer orientation by clicking: https://bit.ly/volunteer4EH We look forward to hearing from you! Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
