About the role
Job Summary:
Minutemen Staffing is hiring dependable individuals for a Coil Packaging Operator role in a steel manufacturing environment. This position involves packaging steel coils, following safety and quality standards, and supporting daily production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow safety guidelines (hard hat, safety glasses required)
- Band and secure steel coils and skids
- Read work orders and follow packaging instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report quality issues and stop production if needed
- Build skids using basic tools
- Operate crane and forklift to move materials
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to use or learn equipment such as cranes, forklifts, banding tools, and measuring devices
