About the role

Job Description: Greet all guests and visitors as they enter the front door from 8:00am-4:30pm. Answer phone within 3 rings, be professional and knowledgeable and able to give correct information in a professional manner. Respecting HIPAA laws and maintaining confidentiality. Assist Resident Assistants in the dining room with meals, as needed. Take Lunch and Dinner orders and relay alternates, changes or requests to the kitchen. Keep cordless phone with you when not at desk. Sort and deliver mail and packages to residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Responsible for hourly checks on all outside doors throughout Assisted Living. Ensure all doors, except front door, are locked at the assigned time, prior to leaving shift. Perform clerical office duties as assigned (i.e. typing, copying, etc.)Responsible for assuring all scheduled Activities run smoothly on the weekend and evenings. Communicate needed time off with the Administrative Assistant 30 days in advance. All call-ins must be made a minimum of 4 hours prior to shift, preferably the day before, when possible. Maintain the front desk and lobby in a neat and clean appearance for guests and residents. Communicate with Administrative Assistant regarding any changes in census over the weekend in both Assisted Living and Memory Care by leaving a note on the census clipboard. Communicate with Administrative Assistant any necessary information of events or changes made over the weekend that affect employees or residents. Understand all job duties and communicate with the supervisor if you do not. You will be held accountable for those job duties and subject to reprimand if they are not performed as trained.
