About the role
Educator Position Must hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) and a Bilingual Spanish Endorsement (BSPA). Fluent and literate in English and Spanish. Knowledgeable of curriculum and instruction, as well as second language acquisition. Flexibility and strong communication skills required.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning and teaching students in a K-8 building that have been identified as EL in order to building on reading and writing skills.
Ability to deliver instruction in Spanish and English.
Understanding of second language learners.
Ability to adjust instruction based on individual student needs.
Ability to translate between languages both orally and in written form.
Collaborate with grade level teams to work on supporting EL students in English reading and writing skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
