About the role
- Assemble electrical or mechanical systems by installing components, subassemblies, and wiring to NEC standards.
- Adjust, repair, or replace electrical component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand, power tools, equipment and testing instrumentation.
- Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
- Safely operates any equipment needed to perform job within the assembly.
- Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
- Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
- Drill, tap, punch holes in specified equipment locations to mount components or to provide openings for wiring or instruments.
- Inspect or test wiring installations and assemblies for product conformance
- Utilize production job schedules, and confer with supervisors/leads, to determine work priorities.
- Record production data such labor time and quantities using ERP system.
- Inform supervisors/leads of equipment malfunctions that need to be addressed.
- Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and work stations on a daily basis.

- Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:
- High school education or equivalent and two years related assembly experience, including panel wiring and conduit installation.
- Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, production/assembly instructions, parts lists, verbal instruction and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components.
- Ability to apply previous experience and sound assembly techniques to perform detailed written or oral instructions.
- Works with limited supervision to assemble units of moderate complexity.
