MUST LIVE IN ILLINOISMy client is seeking a Residential Real Estate Closing Attorney to represent buyers and sellers in transactions throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Our practice emphasizes clear communication, careful legal work, and a smooth experience from contract review through closing. The attorney in this role will manage residential purchase and sale files, advise clients at each stage of the transaction, and work closely with real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and the firm's closing team.
Responsibilities: Review and negotiate residential purchase agreements, attorney review letters, amendments, and related documents. Advise buyers and sellers on inspection matters, financing contingencies, title issues, and closing requirements. Coordinate with clients and transaction participants to keep matters on schedule. Review title commitments, surveys, closing statements, and other transaction documents. Resolve issues that arise before closing and represent clients at closings. Provide timely, practical updates to clients and their real estate agents.
Qualifications: Active Illinois law license in good standing. 1–5 years of experience handling residential real estate transactions, preferably in the Chicago area. Familiarity with Illinois residential contracts, attorney review, title matters, and the closing process. Strong drafting, negotiation, organization, and client communication skills. Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines with attention to detail. My client serves clients across Chicago, the North Shore, and the western suburbs. They are looking for an attorney who enjoys guiding people through significant transactions and takes pride in being responsive, dependable, and thorough. Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is betwee n $110k-170k base. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
