About the role
- Submit and monitor DME claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Verify insurance, obtain authorizations
- Research, correct, and resubmit denied/rejected claims
- Conduct A/R follow-ups and payment postings (EOBs, adjustments)
- Communicate with payers to resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with DMEPOS, HIPPA, and payer rules
- Maintain organized records and support audits
- Report trends in denials and recommended improvements
- Prepare appeals within payer deadlines
