About the role

Boulder, CO area · Full-time · 50–70% regional travel About Amundsen Sports Amundsen Sports is a Norwegian outdoor brand inspired by the legacy of Roald Amundsen and the year-round Norwegian friluftsliv lifestyle. Founded in 2010, we have grown from a strong home market into a global brand with revenues of around $50M — built on challenging the established and bringing refined Norwegian outdoor wear to the world. The United States is our most important market outside Norway. Amundsen Sports Inc., our US subsidiary since 2018, spans a wholesale portfolio of 80 premium doors across the Mountain West and East Coast, brand stores in Boulder and New York, and a fast-growing e-commerce business — around $10M in revenue, driven by a tight team of four. You would be joining early, with real room to shape what comes next.
The Role: We're looking for a Wholesale Field Rep to be the face of Amundsen in the Rocky Mountains. This is a role for someone who'd rather be on a shop floor than behind a desk: you'll spend 50–70% of your time on the road visiting our retail partners across Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and New Mexico — building relationships, training staff, and making sure Amundsen shows up right in every store that carries us. You'll work closely with, and report to, our Sr. Wholesale Manager in Boulder, and play a key part in strengthening our presence with premium outdoor and lifestyle retailers across the region.
What You'll Do: •   Visit retail partners regularly across the Rocky Mountains region — on the floor, with the people who sell our product•   Deliver in-store presentations, product clinics, and staff trainings•   Take orders and handle re-supply to keep our partners well stocked•   Plan and support brand events, both in-store and in the field•   Act as the eyes and ears of the brand: bring back insights on sell-through, merchandising, and what's happening in the market•   Support the Sr. Wholesale Manager in growing and servicing the regional account base Who You Are•   2–5 years of relevant experience — outdoor, ski, or premium apparel is preferable.•   A natural relationship-builder: an existing network among premium outdoor and lifestyle shops in the Rockies is a plus, and the skills to build one are just as valuable•   Social and outgoing — comfortable walking into a shop, connecting with staff and owners, and representing the brand with authenticity•   An outdoorsy profile who genuinely lives the lifestyle the brand is built on — skiing, hiking, hunting, or simply time in the mountains•   Flexible and energized by travel: this role is on the road a lot, and that should sound like a feature, not a drawback•   Organized and comfortable with systems — you'll plan your own routes, enter orders in our B2B platform, and work confidently in Excel with order sheets, assortment plans, and sell-through reports Compensation & Benefits•   Base salary: $60,000 – $75,000, depending on experience•   Performance bonus structure on top•   Company vehicle or mileage compensation for territory travel•   Medical health insurance through United Healthcare — Amundsen covers 50% of the employee premium on our base plan•   401(k) retirement plan•   20 days paid time off per year, accrued monthly, plus paid holidays, paid sick leave and parental leave•   Employee discount on Amundsen product Practical Details•   Based in the Boulder area•   Regular travel throughout Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and New Mexico•   Valid driver's license required
How to Apply: Send your resume and a short note on your relationship with the outdoor retail landscape in the Rockies to steve@amundsensports.com
Application deadline: Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis — early applications are encouraged.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
