About the role

Warehouse Safety And Security OfficerActively greets members, verifies membership card, keeps entry counts, and checks receipts upon members exiting. Performs and documents warehouse safety and security checks. Provides a high level of member service.Conducts hourly building safety and security checks. Walks the building and perimeter, pushes carts and picks up stray items or puts items away. Corrects safety and security problems encountered, such as spills, trip hazards, and blocked exits. Fills out reports and shows results to the duty manager. Attends warehouse safety meetings.Maintains the entrance area consisting of opening/closing store doors, greeting members, verifying membership card, offering a cart, directing members, keeping coffee grinder clean, and keeping entrance/exit area clean and dry. Uses a handheld clicker to keep count of entering members, reports half-hours to front end managers, and records counts on weekly reports.Ensures workers make it to their cars safely, watches for members trying to enter the store, and scans for general suspicious behavior. Watch closing managers leave, report any suspicious activity to duty manager, and calls police if necessary. Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery. Assists with department duties as necessary.
