About the role

Mail Processing Specialist Responsible for receiving, opening, sorting, and processing incoming mail and packages. Reviews documents to determine the appropriate virtual mailroom destination and scans documents for electronic distribution. Uploads scanned documents to SharePoint sites and accurately updates metadata fields in accordance with established procedures. Processes document packages ranging from approximately 5 to 100 pages while ensuring image quality and document completeness. Handles mail containing refund checks and other financial instruments, determining, and applying the appropriate endorsement stamp based on documented procedures. Identifies and reroutes misdirected mail using established routing guides and reference materials. Maintains and updates reroute examples and processing documentation as new scenarios are identified. Requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow documented processes, proficiency with scanning equipment and electronic document management systems, and the ability to work independently in a high-volume mail processing environment while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and productivity standards.
