CNC Grinder 2nd Shift

Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire | High-Precision Job Shop
A high-precision job shop in Solon is looking to add a CNC Grinder to its second shift team. This is a hands-on role in a clean, climate-controlled facility specializing in tight-tolerance, low-volume work for industries such as aerospace, medical, and defense. What Youll Do: Set up and operate CNC OD/ID grinders (Studer, Kellenberger, etc.)Work from blueprints and process sheets to achieve tight tolerances Inspect parts using micrometers, bore gauges, comparators, and other precision instruments Perform in-process checks and final inspections to ensure part quality Maintain clean work area and follow safety protocols What Were Looking For: Experience with CNC OD/ID grinding and holding tolerances within .0002"Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&TStrong attention to detail and pride in high-quality craftsmanship Willingness to work 2nd shift hours and contribute to a small, skilled team Manual grinding experience is a plus This is a great opportunity for a grinder who thrives on precision and wants to work on complex, one-off or small batch projects rather than high-volume production.
