About the Role: We are seeking a licensed Fully Remote Medicare Enrollment Specialist / Benefits Advisor to provide personalized, one-on-one education to Medicare-eligible individuals navigating their healthcare coverage options. This is a non-sales, consultative role focused on helping members understand Medicare benefits and make informed decisions about their coverage. The ideal candidate will be comfortable explaining complex insurance concepts in simple terms, conducting virtual meetings, and providing a high-quality member experience.
Responsibilities: Conduct one-on-one virtual Medicare education and enrollment meetings with members via Microsoft Teams. Educate Medicare beneficiaries on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Part D, and other applicable coverage options. Explain plan benefits, premiums, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, provider networks, formularies, and out-of-pocket costs. Review and explain Summary of Benefits and other plan documents in an easy-to-understand manner. Help members understand eligibility, enrollment periods, plan changes, and qualifying life events. Provide objective, compliant guidance without using high-pressure sales tactics. Answer inbound member questions and resolve enrollment, benefit, and platform-related issues. Handle escalated questions and assist members with more complex Medicare coverage situations. Conduct three-way calls with carriers or other appropriate parties when additional support is needed. Document all member interactions accurately and thoroughly in HubSpot and other internal systems. Maintain accurate case notes, enrollment documentation, and required records. Upload and maintain call recordings and supporting documentation in SharePoint. Follow all applicable Medicare, carrier, state licensing, HIPAA, and company compliance requirements. Protect confidential member information and maintain strict privacy standards. Participate in ongoing training to remain current on Medicare regulations, plan changes, carrier requirements, and enrollment processes. Collaborate with internal teams to identify recurring member issues and improve the overall enrollment experience.
Qualifications: Active Medicare Insurance License in at least one U.S. state. Experience working with Medicare insurance products or Medicare beneficiaries. Ability to read, interpret, and clearly explain Summary of Benefits and plan documents. Strong understanding of Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and/or Part D plans. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex healthcare and insurance concepts in clear, accessible language. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Comfortable conducting professional conversations on camera via Microsoft Teams. Customer-focused approach with strong empathy and patience. Ability to work independently while managing a high volume of member interactions. Professional and reliable home-office environment suitable for video meetings.
Required Skills: Direct Medicare enrollment or benefits advising experience. Experience assisting Medicare-eligible or senior populations. Experience with Medicare Advantage plans and Annual Enrollment Period. Familiarity with HubSpot, CRM systems, carrier portals, or enrollment platforms. Experience handling complex Medicare coverage or eligibility questions. Previous experience conducting virtual enrollment or benefits education meetings. Multistate insurance licenses.
