As an Education Specialist, you will: Formulate and implement an educational plan that addresses each participant’s individualized academic, educational, and leadership needs and interests Provide academic advising and instructional support that enables participants to be retained with the program Develop and implement college preparatory activities and programs Actively assist in the development and implementation of the Upward Bound summer program at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln Assist program participants with Post Secondary Pathway planning

Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, community services, human development, or related field. Experience providing educational learning activities—improve academic performance, organizes educational planning, and preparation for enrollment in post-secondary education. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to drive a 12-passenger van Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirement as well as a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree Fluent in a second language other than English. Demonstrate ability to communicate with high school aged youth Experience in working with school staff, and parents/ guardians. Experience working with TRIO programs. Pre-Placement Driving Record Review Required Yes Physical Required No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre-employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances.
