Job Description: Job Description GTI is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support the build, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and qualification of advanced semiconductor metrology equipment at our Scottsdale headquarters. This position works directly with complex precision equipment and is ideal for an engineer with experience in semiconductor equipment, electron-beam systems, metrology, high-vacuum systems, robotics, motion control, or precision instrumentation.
What You'll Do: Support the assembly, integration, testing, and qualification of CD-SEM and DR-SEM metrology systems Integrate and test electrical, mechanical, electronic, vacuum, robotics, motion-control, and wafer-handling subsystems Perform system calibration, alignment, verification, and functional testing Troubleshoot system and subsystem performance issues during equipment build and integration Diagnose electrical, mechanical, vacuum, motion, and electro-mechanical failures Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions Install, test, and replace components, assemblies, sensors, motors, pumps, electronics, and precision hardware Support electron-beam, high-vacuum, wafer stage, robotics, and imaging system integration Execute system-level testing and verify equipment performance against specifications Support equipment configuration, upgrades, engineering changes, and design improvements Develop and improve manufacturing, assembly, calibration, test, and troubleshooting procedures Document test results, system configurations, technical findings, and corrective actions Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, applications, and field service teams to improve system quality, reliability, and manufacturability Ideal Experience Hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment, CD-SEM, DR-SEM, SEM, e-beam, metrology, defect review, or inspection systems Experience assembling, integrating, testing, troubleshooting, or qualifying complex capital equipment Knowledge of electron-beam systems and/or semiconductor metrology Experience with high-vacuum systems, vacuum pumps, valves, gauges, and related components Experience with precision motion control, stages, robotics, wafer handling, sensors, motors, and electro-mechanical assemblies Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience performing system calibration, alignment, functional testing, and equipment qualification Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills Experience using diagnostic equipment, test instrumentation, and precision measurement tools Familiarity with semiconductor wafers, cleanroom practices, and semiconductor manufacturing environments Qualifications 2+ years of relevant hands-on engineering or semiconductor equipment experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline preferred Equivalent technical education and strong hands-on equipment experience will be considered Ability to work independently and collaboratively across engineering and manufacturing teams Strong attention to detail and technical documentation Must be able to work 100% on-site in Scottsdale, Arizona Must be a U.S. Citizen and/or Green Card holder Compensation & Benefits$32-$40/hour, based on experience Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Full-time employment Hands-on work with GTI NextGEN semiconductor metrology technology No third-party recruiters or staffing agencies, please.
