Job Description The Mobile Mechanic is a skilled professional specializing in the diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of commercial vehicles and heavy-duty equipment such as trucks, skid steers, chippers, and bucket trucks. Working independently, this role requires traveling daily to various job sites and performing on-site repairs during on-call shifts from Thursday through Sunday. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong problem-solving skills to ensure efficient and reliable vehicle operation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical issues
- Conduct engine and brake repairs on commercial and heavy-duty vehicles
- Execute preventative maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Provide on-site repairs including hydraulic systems
- Manage daily travel to customer locations for service delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in automotive repair
- Technical certification in automotive repair
- Valid driver's license
- Expertise in engine diagnostics
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
- High mechanical aptitude
