Overview:
We're partnering with a leading digital transformation consultancy to bring on a Freelance Product Manager with deep experience in healthcare. This role will sit at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and user experience—helping shape and deliver innovative platform solutions for healthcare clients (payers, providers, or health tech organizations).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end product lifecycle for healthcare platform initiatives—from discovery through delivery Partner with stakeholders (clinical teams, operations, technology, compliance) to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into clear product specs, user stories, and prioritized backlogs Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver scalable, user-centric solutions Drive agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) and ensure timely delivery Analyze platform performance and user feedback to inform continuous improvements Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams Ensure product decisions align with healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.) where applicable Qualifications 2+ years of Product Management experience, ideally within healthcare, health insurance, or health tech environments Experience working on data-heavy platforms, dashboards, or enterprise systems (e.g., claims, care management, member/patient-facing tools)Proven ability to work within digital transformation or consulting environments Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have:
Experience with care management systems, claims platforms, or payer/provider systems Familiarity with data tools (SQL, BI tools, dashboards)Background working with consulting firms or enterprise healthcare clients Exposure to cloud-based platforms or modern data architectures Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7)
