About the Role:
We are seeking a Fiber Installation Technician to support commercial building and data center projects across the DFW area. This role is hands-on and field-based, focused on fiber termination, splicing, and testing, with the expectation that technicians are flexible and willing to assist across related low-voltage scopes as project needs require. This is a great opportunity for a skilled fiber technician who thrives in fast-paced environments and values teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing (single-mode and multi-mode) Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing; interpret and document results Install and maintain fiber infrastructure in commercial buildings and data centers Support additional low-voltage activities as needed, including: Security systems support Cable tray and basket tray installation Vault and pathway work Follow project plans, safety standards, and quality requirements Collaborate with project managers, leads, and field teams to meet deadlines Required Qualifications 1–2+ years of hands-on fiber splicing experience Fiber splicing certification required, such as: ETA International Fiber Optics Installer (FOI/FOA) Experience in commercial construction and/or data center environments Strong understanding of fiber testing equipment and documentation Willingness to assist outside of fiber scope when projects require "all hands on deck" Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally within DFW Preferred Qualifications Experience working on large-scale commercial or mission-critical/data center projects Knowledge of structured cabling and low-voltage systems
