Welding Equipment Electrical Service Specialist We're looking for a hands-on technician with an electrical/electronics background to service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial welding equipment — primarily power sources and wiring — while also supervising or mentoring service/shop staff. This is a strong fit for someone who has moved into (or is ready to step into) a technical leadership role. We're seeking to fill one full-time, direct hire position in Pearland, TX (onsite).Our client is a well-established, 50+ year manufacturer of industrial welding equipment, supplying power sources, wire feeders, and related products to customers nationwide through a distributor network. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial welding power sources, wire feeders, and related electrical/mechanical systems (MIG, TIG, Stick, Submerged Arc, and/or Plasma)
  • Supervise and mentor service technicians and/or shop staff
  • Manage customer communications on repair scopes, estimates, and timelines; handle warranty claims and service inquiries
  • Perform preventative maintenance and quality control on welding and cutting equipment
  • Partner with the parts department to manage inventory and order components for repairs and overhauls
  • Enforce shop safety protocols and maintain accurate service logs
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing industrial welding equipment — specifically power supplies and wiring (electrical engineering-type background)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred, not required
  • Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Submerged Arc/Plasma welding equipment
  • Prior supervisory or technical leadership experience a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
