Role Description:
The Territory Sales Manager is a full-time role. Many territories are available. This position is responsible for managing and growing a defined sales territory by building relationships with optometrists, ophthalmologists, optical retailers, and other eye care professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting new accounts, conducting sales visits, presenting product offerings and pricing, and delivering product training to clients. The Territory Sales Manager will monitor sales performance, prepare territory reports, respond to customer inquiries, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and timely delivery. The role also involves attending industry events, gathering market intelligence, and providing feedback to management on customer needs and competitive activity. In this field-based role, you will be the face of our optical laboratory. You will manage and grow a designated sales territory by partnering with independent eyecare professionals, optometrists, and opticians.
Qualifications:
Strong sales, account management, and territory planning skills, with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets. Customer relationship-building and communication skills, including effective presentation and negotiation abilities. Organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple accounts and priorities. Knowledge of optical products, lenses, frames, or eye care services, or willingness to learn quickly in a technical environment. Opticianary license a plus. Comfort using CRM tools, basic office software, and reporting systems to track activities and analyze sales performance. Ability to work in the field within a defined area, including regular client visits and occasional travel. Previous experience in optical industry sales is a must. High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
