*Position Summary: The Benefits and Compliance Specialist supports Center Benefits by ensuring employer clients remain compliant with state and federal regulations while receiving exceptional benefits service. Responsibilities include benefits administration, compliance documentation, client education, and system management. This person should be highly detailed, organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.*Responsibilities:1. Client Communication & Service Proactively communicate with clients, respond to questions and requests in a timely manner, and provide consistent, high-quality service. Coordinate open enrollment sessions and individual meetings, both virtually and in-person Assist with drafting proposals, benefit explanations, and formal documentation for client presentations2. Administration & Systems Support Benefits Manage the timeliness and documents needed for the administration of benefit programs, including health insurance and other ancillary benefits. Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations, maintaining data integrity in HRIS and other systems. Ensure plans are accurately set up and updated in HRIS and other internal systems. Support benefit renewal processes including plan year updates, quote comparisons, and benefits summaries Reconcile client benefit invoices, assist with billing issues, and audit for discrepancies Communicate with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and other vendors to address any questions or concerns that may arise and forward to the appropriate team member. 3. Compliance & Documentation Maintain and update compliance materials including SBCs, ERISA documents, Medicare notices, and ACA-required communications Manage COBRA/state continuation notifications and ensure compliance across client groups Conduct small group compliance reviews and follow up on any deficiencies or documentation gaps Track Medicare eligibility (T65) and oversee creditable coverage notices and estimation tools Support defined contribution compliance, required notice distribution, and annual handbook updates in internal software4. Contribute to other projects and responsibilities that support Center Benefits and the clients we serve.*Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.2+ years of experience in benefits administration, insurance services, or HR compliance support preferred. Strong understanding of employee benefits regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software applications preferred. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills required. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint required.
