Buyer II – Procurement & Supply Chain
Location: Allentown, PA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Tuesday–Thursday onsite at 2 City Center

Role Overview: We are seeking a Buyer II to support strategic procurement of materials and services across multiple business lines. This role will manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, inventory replenishment, purchase orders, and invoice resolution while helping drive process improvements and procurement efficiency. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities: Review procurement requests and process accurate purchase orders. Manage replenishment of stock and non-stock materials using system-generated reports and established min/max levels. Solicit and evaluate supplier bids through RFQs and RFPs and prepare procurement recommendations. Coordinate with suppliers, Accounts Payable, and internal stakeholders to resolve purchasing, pricing, invoice, warranty, and delivery issues. Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure materials are delivered according to project and business requirements. Coordinate logistics for capital, project, and non-stock materials, including receiving and delivery to warehouses or job sites. Review material forecasts and work with project planners to ensure required materials are ordered and available when needed. Identify new suppliers and maintain strong, professional supplier relationships. Support Supplier Relationship Management and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and SOX requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and procurement process optimization. Provide support during emergency or storm restoration events, which may occasionally require after-hours work.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.3+ years of supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or related experience. Experience with ERP procurement or work management systems. Minimum 1 year of SAP S/4HANA experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with procurement and inventory management. Experience within the electric utility or energy industry. Working knowledge of SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and other financial/material management systems. Experience with supplier relationship management. Basic financial analysis skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
