Description: The following position will be working with The City of Detroit's Department of Elections. There are multiple roles needing to be filled and job descriptions are listed below:
  • Clerical Staff Assist election process by sorting, organizing, mailing, verifying, and entering voter information and electronic data.
  • Data Entry
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system.
Customer Service:
  • Call Center Staff Assist election process by handling and routing all incoming calls to the Department of Elections.
  • Troubleshoot and document all caller issues and/or concerns.
  • Provide helpful information and resolution.
  • Will require simultaneous use of phone and multiple computer programs.
  • Customer Service
  • Computer System Navigation
  • TypingData Entry
  • Equipment/Supply Staff Assist election process by lifting, pulling, packing, and moving election related equipment and supplies.
  • Labor (Must be able to stand for extended periods of time)
  • Heavy Lifting (Minimum of 35lbs)
Qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally able to work in the U.S.High School diploma or equivalent desired
  • Must have reliable transportation, accessible by public transportation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
