Position Overview:
The Risk and Claims Manager oversees the organization’s risk management strategies and the administration of all insurance claims, aiming to minimize financial losses while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role will report out of our Draper, UTofficeWhat You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Assessment and Management Identify and evaluate potential risks to the organization. Develop risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks. Conduct regular risk assessments and reporting. Collaborate with departments to implement risk management practices. Claims Oversight Manage all aspects of claims processing, including workers’ compensation and general liability. Ensure claims are investigated and resolved in a timely manner. Review claims for compliance with company policies and regulations. Liaise with insurance providers regarding claims status and disputes. Reporting and Documentation Generate comprehensive reports on risk management and claims data. Maintain documentation of all claims and risk management activities. Analyze claims data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Present reports to senior management for strategic decision-making. Compliance and Best Practices Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations. Develop and update policies and procedures related to claims and risk management. Conduct training sessions for employees on risk management practices. Stay informed on legal and regulatory changes affecting claims management. Stakeholder Communication Serve as a primary point of contact for risk and claims inquiries. Communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders. Facilitate discussions on risk management strategies with department heads. Build relationships with external partners, including insurers and legal advisors. What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field.5+ years of experience in risk management and claims administration.
Strong knowledge of insurance policies and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
