About the role
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
- Manage reservations, wait lists, and seating arrangements in accordance with restaurant standards
- Escort guests to tables and present menus as needed
- Communicate effectively with servers and management regarding table status, guest needs, and service flow
- Monitor dining room activity to ensure balanced seating and optimal guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
- Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and responding to guest inquiries
- Provide accurate information regarding menu items, specials, and hotel facilities when appropriate
- Support servers and bussers during peak periods as needed
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude toward guests and associates at all times
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and service standards Requirements Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests and coworkers professionally Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight
