Role Description:
The Registered Dental Hygienist is a full-time, on-site role based at Sunrise Dental Care in Boulder, CO. This role focuses on providing comprehensive preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services, including patient assessments, dental prophylaxis, and periodontal maintenance. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, performing oral health screenings, scaling and root planing, administering fluoride and sealants as appropriate, and educating patients on effective home care and disease prevention. The hygienist collaborates with dentists and other team members to support treatment planning, ensure accurate documentation, maintain infection control standards, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive patient experience.
Qualifications:
Strong clinical foundation in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support comprehensive treatment plans. Proficient in Hygiene practices, including patient assessment, oral health education, and preventive care. Skilled in performing Dental Prophylaxis and managing Periodontal Disease through appropriate therapeutic procedures. Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Colorado (or eligibility to obtain), and current CPR/BLS certification. Commitment to infection control, patient safety, and adherence to professional and regulatory standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting. Comfort using dental practice management and charting software; experience with digital radiography is beneficial. Demonstrated dedication to continuing education, professional development, and providing inclusive, patient-centered care.
