Parts Delivery DriverStone Mountain Volkswagen is GROWING! We are looking to add another parts delivery driver to our team! Key Responsibilities of a Parts Delivery Driver Delivery DutiesTimely Deliveries: Ensure that all parts are delivered to the correct locations on time, adhering to preset schedules. Route Planning: Utilize maps and GPS systems to plan efficient delivery routes to save time and fuel. Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload parts from the vehicle, ensuring that items are secured properly to prevent damage during transport. Customer Service Communication: Maintain professional and friendly communication with customers during deliveries. Address any questions or concerns they may have. Problem-Solving: Handle delivery issues, such as wrong addresses or product discrepancies, efficiently and effectively. Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback regarding deliveries and relay important insights to management. Inventory Management Stock Monitoring: Assist in maintaining inventory levels by reporting low stock and discrepancies in parts. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery slips, invoices, and customer signatures. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on the delivery vehicle for any issues and ensure it is kept in good working condition. Collaboration with StaffTeam Communication: Work closely with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and management to ensure a smooth workflow. Training New Drivers: Occasionally assist in training new delivery drivers, sharing best practices for efficient and safe deliveries. Safety Compliance Regulations Adherence: Follow all traffic laws and company policies related to delivery operations. Accident Reporting: Immediately report any accidents or incidents to management and follow company procedures for incident documentation. Parts Delivery Driver Qualifications EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum requirement, although additional training in logistics or a related field is an advantage. Experience Driving Experience: Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a logistics role is preferred. Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer-facing roles can be beneficial. Skills and Competencies Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members. Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and prioritize tasks. Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in deliveries and paperwork. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly address and resolve unexpected challenges during deliveries.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands: The role may require lifting heavy packages, standing for long periods, and performing physical tasks associated with loading and unloading parts.
