Position Description:
The Printer supports print production operations within the Centerfor Print Production by preparing, producing, and finishing avariety of printed materials and formats. The position performsdigital prepress and print production work, operates and maintainsspecialized printing and finishing equipment, and processescustomer orders. The printer also supports production workflow, equipment maintenance, and related printing and mailingoperations. Supervision

Center for Print Production Operations Manager. Supervises: None Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited: Print Production Perform prepress work to include receiving and correctingcustomer files, adjusting for color, registration, and imposition, preparing corrected files for production, and producing proofs forcustomer approval. Produce customer orders using a variety of print production andfinishing technologies and techniques. Ensure that completed ordersare properly documented and prepared for shipping and delivery Support the maintenance and operation of Center for Print Production equipment and production areas; including coordinatingpreventative maintenance, monitoring equipment performance anddowntime; arranging vendor repairs and maintaining equipment andmaintenance records. Maintain organized production areas inaccordance with applicable safety requirements and standards. Cross train with Center for Print Production staff and performwork across production areas as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and a minimum of three years printproduction, or related experience or the equivalent combination ofeducation and experience. Experience or ability to operate, bindery, mail automation andprint production equipment Knowledge and experience using various EFI Fiery, Onyx RIP, Roland Versaworks, WinCNC, Fusion Pro, Microsoft Office products, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop. Understanding of variable data and imposition software andpersonal computer and Macintosh operating systems. Good interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbalcommunication skills. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid New York State driver's license and meet all applicable driver eligibility requirements established by the College's Office of Risk Management is preferred.
Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed in an indoor print-productionenvironment and requires regular use of specialized printing, finishing, production, computer, and other equipment. The workrequires lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 70 pounds. Occasional travel and work outside normal business hours may be required for College-related meetings, workshops, conferences, functions, or activities. Inclusive Excellence
