Position Summary:
EMCORE is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to lead FPGA-based logic and firmware development for our high-performance inertial sensing systems. You will design, verify, and implement FPGA logic and the firmware that runs alongside it, working closely with hardware, systems, and manufacturing teams to bring designs from first prototype through volume production. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys solving hard timing, verification, and firmware-integration problems across the full product life cycle, and who is comfortable supporting system integration, bring-up, and debug in the lab. Exposure to board-level hardware design is a plus, but the core focus of this role is FPGA and firmware. Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
