Role Description: This is a part-time, on-site Auto Parts Warehouse Dispatcher role located in Alsip, IL. The dispatcher will coordinate and schedule deliveries and pickups of auto parts, ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time. Daily tasks include receiving and reviewing orders, assigning routes to drivers, updating dispatch logs, and maintaining clear communication between the warehouse, drivers, and customers. The role involves answering phone calls, responding to inquiries about order status, resolving basic delivery issues, and promoting a positive customer experience. The dispatcher will also support general warehouse organization, verify part numbers and quantities, and follow safety and company procedures.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong Dispatching skills, including route coordination, order tracking, and real-time communication with drivers. Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on resolving issues and maintaining a professional, helpful attitude. Candidates should possess solid Communication and Phone Etiquette skills to handle calls, provide clear information, and document interactions accurately. Basic knowledge of auto parts, with attention to detail when verifying part numbers and orders. Ability to work on-site in a warehouse environment, including standing, light lifting, and working around inventory and delivery activities. Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple dispatch requests and prioritize tasks effectively. Comfort using basic computer systems and dispatch or inventory software; prior experience with logistics or warehouse operations is an asset. High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in dispatching, automotive parts, or customer service is preferred but not required.
