About the role
Head Writer & ProducerWe are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head Writer & Producer to help elevate Spy Ninjas's creative performance on YouTube. Someone who understands how to tell compelling stories that drive engagement, and who can lead a team of creatives in that pursuit. This is a ground floor opportunity to help shape the creative direction of Spy Ninjas's future. The ideal candidate will have recent success on YouTube, a deep understanding of the digital content landscape and the ability to turn ideas into episodes, solid storytelling experience and the ability to lead creative teams. You'll oversee our flagship YouTube show, and guide content from idea to upload. The position is Full Time in Las Vegas, NV. Initial interviews can be held remotely, and relocation compensation is provided for.Own day-to-day oversight of all creative content across the Qlay network of channelsAnalyze performance across CTR, retention, thumbnails, and titles and adjust creative accordinglyReport directly to Qlay's President, and work closely with the Creators to evolve storytelling and video formatsManage a team of creatives who write, direct, film and edit all Qlay contentGuide visual storytelling with obsessive attention to detail and story loreUnderstand trends, competitive landscape, best practices, platform dynamics, audience feedback and analytics to continuously refine and improve success.Partner with production manager to lead successful film days and deliver on post-production timelines while protecting creative integrity at every stageServe as the senior creative in post: shaping narrative, pacing, and visual identityQlay is the video production company behind the Spy Ninjas, the longest-running scripted series in YouTube history, and the brainchild of YouTube creators Chad Wild Clay & Vy Qwaint. The stories surrounding this inspirational group of everyday heroes have earned over 15 billion views and 45 million subscribers.
