About the role
Established, stable, and growing Commercial Real Estate firm is looking for a Controller. You'll lead the full accounting operation from the Denver office, supported by a team of 5-6 accountants you'll develop and guide. What you'll own:- Month-end close and financial reporting across a portfolio of property-level entities- Tenant billing, recoveries, and annual CAM true-ups- Treasury activity including collections, payables, and bank activity- Accounting support for ground-up and redevelopment projects, including lender draws and project budgets- Building better processes as the portfolio expands
What you bring:
- Several years of accounting for commercial property portfolios; retail a plus- Daily, hands-on Yardi experience- Experience leading and coaching an accounting team- A degree in accounting or finance; CPA a plus- Comfort with a fast pace, a heavy workload, and working closely with principals- Willingness to be in the Denver office full time and travel to a regional office periodically This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone ready to own the numbers and grow with the business.
