About the role
To support a growing legal team, the full-time Principal Counsel, Regulatory & Privacy will manage the global privacy program, oversee regulatory compliance, and handle various legal matters in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
Build and run the global privacy program, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks such as CCPA/CPRA and GDPR
Manage FTC and consumer protection compliance, including health and wellness claims and advertising reviews
Provide legal support across various areas, including commercial contracts and product counseling, as needed
Required qualifications
JD and active bar membership in at least one US state
8 to 12 years of relevant in-house experience, with a strong background in privacy and regulatory matters
Solid working knowledge of US privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA), GDPR, and FTC regulations
Versatile generalist experience, comfortable handling diverse legal issues
Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
