About the role
- Safely rig, lift, transport, and load generator rotors onto fixed stands, roller stands, and machines, such as lathes and horizontal boring mills.
- Regularly inspect lifting equipment
- Assist with mechanical hand skills tasks in other work areas of the department such as rotor winding, assembly, and balance on an as-needed basis • Engage in continuous improvement by applying 5S methodology as a component of a Lean production system.
- What You BringHigh school degree or equivalent with 1+ years of crane operating experience
- Working knowledge of common hand tools
- Must be able to obtain critical lift crane operation certification through Siemens Energy internal certification programs
- Must be able to obtain fork truck certification through Siemens Energy internal certification programs
- Successful applicants must be able to obtain Silver Level or higher ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate
- Successful applicants must be able to pass hearing, vision, and pulmonary tests through Siemens Energy's onsite medical team
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
