Brunch by De Martino is seeking an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. We are looking for a strong leader who can maintain organization, quality, consistency, and accountability while actively working alongside the kitchen team.
This is an operational management position, not a menu-development or Executive Chef role. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for executing established recipes, procedures, and standards while leading the BOH team and maintaining an efficient, clean, and well-run kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily BOH operations, including opening, service, shift changes, and closing
- Actively work the line as part of the kitchen team
- Be proficient on all kitchen stations and able to immediately step onto any station as needed
- Lead and supervise cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Ensure established recipes, portions, cooking procedures, and plating standards are consistently followed
- Manage daily prep lists and established pars to ensure the kitchen is fully prepared before service
- Monitor ticket times, coordinate stations, and maintain an efficient flow of service
- Maintain food quality and consistency throughout every service
- Conduct inventory and assist with routine ordering from approved vendors
- Receive and inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and proper storage
Required Experience:
Previous Kitchen Manager experience is required.
Applicants must submit a resume that clearly demonstrates prior Kitchen Manager experience. Candidates without Kitchen Manager experience listed on their resume will not be considered for this position.
The ideal candidate has experience managing a high-volume restaurant kitchen and understands that this is a hands-on leadership position.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven Kitchen Manager experience
- Strong line-cooking experience and proficiency across multiple kitchen stations
- Ability and willingness to work a station throughout service and jump onto any station whenever needed
- Experience working in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Strong leadership and BOH staff-management skills
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Experience with inventory, ordering, prep management, and waste control
- Ability to maintain quality, consistency, and composure during high-volume service
- Dependable, accountable, and able to lead by example

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
